Gambling for Music

Project Type: Game

Project Size: Large

Done During: MFA Design & Technology at Parsons, NY

Tools: ArduinoProcessingCameraBuilding Material

Collaborative Project

In Collaboration With: Marisa Glick, and Michael Gonzalez

The idea of this project was to create something physical that would change the music being played, turning on and off different parts of the track to create a whole. After some thinking, we decided to use AR codes and create a gambling-like game. The game involved chance in turning parts of the music on and off. We created a table and hooked a camera to the top of it. Whatever AR code the camera read, it would turn the corresponding part of the music either on or off.
